Matt has over 30 years’ experience across real estate and global investment markets, with a rare combination of buy- and sell-side expertise. His executive career has included roles in leasing, property management, real estate development and asset management at Lendlease, and senior leadership positions within Macquarie Group’s Equities division across Australia and Asia, including as Co-Head of Equities, Asia, co-leading up to 430 people across eight markets including Japan. He was most recently Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ethical Partners Funds Management, a purpose-driven Australian fund manager, where he developed extensive knowledge of the Australian REIT market and responsible investment. Matt is the founder and principal of Nacard & Associates, advising Australian and New Zealand corporates on leadership and strategic planning, and has experience in AI strategy and governance. He is currently Deputy Chair of the Movember Foundation and Chair of its Finance, Risk and Audit Committee, whose remit includes oversight of technology, AI and cyber risk. Matt holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is a Certified Organisational Coach from the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership.
